All the pretty ladies! Dawn, Misty, Shannon and me
We finally got to get away! We went to Ruidoso for Valentine's weekend with the Jenkins, Johnsons, and the Rodriguez's. We got there Friday afternoon and hung out for a little bit. We went to Farley's and ate and had few drinks and visited. Later that night, after everyone arrived, we played Scattegories. I hadn't played that game in years!! It was a blast! The next day was full of shopping for the girls and skiing for the boys. That night we went out to eat at a mexican food restaurant called Casa Blanc. We all turned in early from just pure exhaustion from the day. Lets face it. We aren't as young as we use to be. hehe The next day we got up and ate breakfast at the Log Cabin. It was very yummy. Then we all headed home. The trip was short and sweet but just what we needed.

Not loving the cake too much. I think it was maybe he felt the pressure since about 20 of us were all surrounding him just waiting to see what he would do. hehe

My baby is 1 year old!

3 days old.

3 months

6 months

9 months

1 year

My precious baby boy. Today, on this day, one year ago you were born in Lubbock Texas at Covenant Lakeside Hospital at 6:19pm. Weighing in at 5lbs 8 oz. You had a little trouble with your oxygen level and had to stay in the nursery. We didn't get to see you until the next day! It was aweful! But you were strong and pushed through it and are a strong and healthy boy today.
You are able to say Mama, Dada, baba, byebye, and this morning you said Papa!!!!!! Your 4th tooth just broke through yesterday. Not walking yet. You love music and stop whatever you are doing when you hear it and start dancing. You love to ruff house with your daddy. The higher you are thrown in the air, and the ruffer we play with you, the more you laugh. I love the way you light up when you see your daddy come in from work. You LOVE to take a bath.
You are the cutest, most precious, smartest, lovable, funny etc..... thing there ever was and I am so proud to be your mommy. I love you more than you will ever know!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CASH MAN!!!!!!!

Need to laugh?

Cash pulled a good one today. I was cooking supper and Ryan was out in the garage. I could hear Cash playing and I went around to check on him and he was in front of the back door playing. I went back in the kitchen, and then I heard him playing with his music table. I went around to check on him again, and in front of the back door where Cash was sitting was poop! Dog poop!!!! Apparently Mattie couldnt hold it (she hasn't felt very good lately) and just decided to go in front of the back door and go on her merry way. It was smeared all over the floor and then taking a good look at Cash, he had it all over him!!!!! He had been playing in it!!!!!!! With it on his hands, his legs and apparently on the bottom of his feet (because there was poop on the carpet) he decided to go play with his musical table and got it all over it!!!!!!!!!!! Oh my gosh!!!!!! I ran to the garage yelling at Ryan to come inside immediately! Ryan stripped him down and bathed while I had to clean up the poop!!!!! I thought i was going to throw up! We dont think he tasted it because there was no evidence on his face. Thank the Lord!!!! Sorry i dont have a picture of it all. Taking a picture was not the first thing on my mind. Dont worry, I cleaned the music table with a toothbrush brushing in every little crevice there was. I dont think I have ever cleaned anything so thoroughly. :] Just thought I would share.

Picture Update

Jenni covered in Cash, Bryer, and Casen

Cash and Bryer

As you can probably tell by some of the pictures, he is a pointer now. :]

Climbing!!!

Cash now has two teeth and working really hard on the third. He has one bottom tooth, and top tooth, and another top one starting to come through. The whole teething thing really hasnt been as bad as I thought it would be. He has done really well.
Cash loves to eat sliced apples, peaches, bananas, cheese, bread and of coarse anything sweet. But when he DOES eat, he eats like a bird most of the time. Delane says thats the way Ryan was when he was little. I think he just doesnt like to sit in his high chair for very long. He just wants to get down and play. He still takes 2 naps a day. 3 on occasion if the first naps were not very long.

New Recipe That I Tried

Low Fat Chicken Lasagna

8 oz. lasagna noodles, uncooked
2 cups chopped cooked chicken
1 (10 oz) pkg frozen spinach and/or broccoli, thawed and drained well (i just used the spinach)
8 oz grated Mozzarella cheese
1 sm (8oz) carton low fat cottage cheese
1 (32oz) jar spaghetti sauce

Spray 9x13 baking dish with Pam. Pour 1/2 cup spaghetti sauce in dish. Place layer of noodles in dish. Place spinach, both kinds of cheese and chicken in dish. Pour about 1 1/2 cups sauce over this. Bake at 350 degrees for about 45 mins.

I have started Weight Watchers this week and this is the first meal I made. Its 8 points if you divided it into 6 serving portions. I was very pleasently surprised with this recipe! Ryan even ate it and HE is one of the pickiest eaters I know!!! :]

If I find any more healthy recipes that turn out well I will share them with you! Hope you try it and enjoy! Let me know what you think!
